We don't know how many times we have to say it, but cats love their humans. So much. We will not stand for the slander against them. We will allow people to say that cats are aloof and uncaring without speaking up and defending them. Yeah, sure, cats may show their affection in funny ways, like blinking at you very slowly or showing you their backside without you asking to see it, but that does not mean that their affection is any less real or valid. It is up to you to learn their love language, not the other way around. 

And even if your cat is a little more on the "unaffectionate" side, if it shows you affection a little more rarely, you can count on one thing, and that is that your cats will be there for you when you need them the most. We have seen it time and time again. When we're hurt, when we're scared, when we're upset, suddenly, even our most "aloof" cats become little cuddlebugs that won't leave our sides.

  • We're sorry to hear that you have been going through a rough time lately, but this a silver lining. You may  have lost some love in your life, but you have gained new love, and chances are that this kitty will keep showering you with it for a while - perhaps until you find someone new.

  • Cats are always there when we need them the most. They may not show us affection each and every time that we want it, but when we need it, they are there for us, and they always will be. Cats are amazing, and Baby is definitely ameowzing.
